AutoStakkert2 im Vergleich

Hallo,

ich weiß nicht, ob es schon Erfahrungen mit AutoStakkert2 gibt. Ich habe gestern flux einmal etwas rumprobiert an einem Video vom 30.01.2012:

Alles ein Rotkanal und gleichmäßig in PS nach der Methode Maciek geschärft.

Eines vorweg: AutoStakkert2 ist SCHNELL. Sehr praktisch ist die automatische Referenzpunktvergabe. Die habe ich nur um die drei Monde ergänzt und dann losgehts.

Die Planetendetails sind wohl beo AviStack2 besser, aber die Monde gefallen mir bei AUtoStakkert2 besser. Gegenüber dem alten AutoStakkert ist es auf jeden Fall ein Fortschritt.

Ich werde im Laufe des Tages noch einmal ein Mondvideo im Vergleich hinterherschieben.

danke für Deinen Vergleich. Ich habe AS2 gestern an einigen Mondaufnahmen probiert und leider noch Softwareprobleme erlebt. Ein Ergebnis aus einem SER File habe ich bekommen, der Vergleich mit AVIStack steht noch aus, aus AVIs habe ich leider kein Ergebnis bekommen.

Die solltest Du unbedingt Emil melden. Bei seiner Klasse ist er froh, wenn auch mal ein Bug gemeldet wird :/

Ich hab auch mal mit eine ältere Aufnahme mit beiden Versionen (AutoStakkert 1 und 2) verglichen und AutoStakkert2 zeigt eine deutliche Verbesserung, aber erst nachdem mir Emil ein paar Tips bzgl. der Alignment-Points gegeben hat. Ich bin sicher AutoStakkert2 wird die Referenz-Software in Sachen Stacking. Der Mann ist wirklich eine Ausnahme-Talent...

Mit Erlaubnis von Emil hier ein paar Auszüge aus den Mails:

Nice to hear the results already improved. It takes a bit of time to get used to a new program. Alignment box sizes are most important in MAP, too small and you can't track on details causing a blurry image. Too large and then it can't track the finer seeing distortions and you'll lose the very finest details (but the image will be much sharper than with too small AP sizes).

An alignment box size of 50 is generally speaking way too small for planetary targets (assuming you are imaging at the 'standard' planetary imaging scale' in arcsecs/pixel). But it's tricky to find the best setting, because it also depends on the noise level in the images (and the amount of contrast). Less contrast or more noise -> larger APs.

Your avi has been tightly cropped around Jupiter, so it's difficult to place a small AP around Ganymede. That is why I set the width and height a bit larger so I could place a small (size 45) AP especially around ganymede. I also added an extra (smaller, size 65) AP around the GRS because I know round things just track really well (it's difficult to loose track on such a prominent feature). All the other APs are of size 90 and were placed manually (and pretty much randomly) to cover the entire surface.

Hi,

ich hatte eine AP-Größe von 50 gewählt und auf Automatik gestellt. Er hat mir dann über die ganze Fläche verteilt ca. 26 APs gesetzt. Dazu hatte ich noch einen über den Mond.

Das Ergebnis sieht man hier:

Dann sollte ich ruhig einmal größere APs probieren.

P.S.
Mondavis laufen bei mir auch nicht. Da hängt das Programm sich auf. Evtl. liegt es an der Größe. Die Files sind über 2GB.

If you fail to process very large recordings, try turning buffering off using "Memory Usage -> No Buffering".

The program has been tested a lot on planetary recordings and solar recordings, but mainly on Windows 7 pcs that have quite a bit of memory available. If you still have problems processing a particular file, please upload the original file somewhere so I can have a look and try to replicate the problem.

I just resized an avi recording of the moon to 1290x966 resolution and it's now almost 5 gigabytes in size. I do experience some weird issues when trying to process it so for now I would hold off on processing those extremely large 'surface' recordings (unless it does work for you of course...)

I'll report back if I find out what causes the problem/found a solution.
 
I fixed a bug causing problems after image alignment completed. I'm not sure if that is what was causing problems for you, but I can now process a 5 gigabyte recording of the moon without any problems.

First try to get a good feeling of the size of APs that you should use for your recordings, as that is by far the most important factor when stacking your images. You can't expect the best results if the APs are too small or too large.

Beide leicht angeschärft mit LR. Zur vollen Größe: Rechtsklick+Anzeigen.

Das mit der AP-Größe ist dann wohl Versuchssache. Vielleicht könnt Ihr alle demnächst immer einmal beischreiben, welche AP-Größe und Anzahl ihr so nehmt.

Hallo Michael,

danke für die Vergleiche... Ich war schon länger nicht mehr am Himmel aktiv (mal von den PL's abgesehen) und werde einiges an Software aktualisieren müssen (AutoStakkert, FirCapture)... Da sind solche Hinweise und Vergleiche sehr hilfreich... :super:
