22" dobson project

Hi,

I'd like to show you the result of a couple of weeks of my work.
It's 22" F/3.7 truss dobsonian with custom made optics (lambda/9). It weights ca. 40-45kg and should fit 75x80x50cm cube + poles. Focuser in zenith position is on ca.2 meters.

I made it on special order and the pisc were taken in owner father's home (an artist). Price was not adequate to the background

Really nice telescope. Why did you made a threefold spider, which gives sixfold diffraction spikes in the image? With a fourfold spider you would get rid of 2 diffraction spikes.

The ends of the three spider vanes meet the three positions where his 6 truss-tube poles end. Also, maybe he simply likes 6 weaker spikes better than 4 brighte ones.

If you think this one is big, you're wrong. I am ordering two 30" mirrors to make very big scopes
