Bahtinov masks are tools of choice for serious focusing.
Sometimes there is need to have one, but no friendly manufacturer or dealer is available, only internet, a DIY warehouse or similar and roughly 10 £.
That will be enough for half a dozen masks.
We need:
1 inspirating idea: http://www.astrotreff.de/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=88297
1 telescope
1 ruler
1 pencil
1 scissor
1 sharp knife (due to security reasons not shown)
1 reel electricians tape
1 bottle super glue
1 soft plastics (some kind of hard foam) plate, big enough to generous cover the outer diameter of the dew cap, 3-5mm thick
1 fly screen, round about twice the size of the plastics plate. If you have the choice, chose the stiffer.

Chose the right size for the grid. You will need two parts, one angled 0°, one angled 45°. So it's a good idea to make the 45° patch slightly larger than the 0° one.

Cut the fly screen patches to roughly the right size, be accurate at the "stitching" edges. That will make it easier to align it and connect it with two stripes electricians tape.

Next we will do the frame for the mask. I used this material, thicker material probably will give better reliability on the scope.

Chose the size of the frame, center the scope on it and mark the outer diameter of the dew cap on the plastics.

Cut out the dew cap circle, glue the connected fly screen patches on the frame, cut off the overcoming edges of the fly screen (and cover the whole frame with electricians tape).

It is finished. After round about 10-15 minutes.
Now we can test it.

Advantage of this fly screen mask is much less obstruction than the original Bahtinov design, cost and it's easy to build.
Hope you find it some kind of useful...
