Der Kunde arbeitet nun am nächsten Projekt und startet mit dem Sternwartenbau für den nächsten Apo, einen APM-LZOS 510 mm F/6500 auf Goto Montierung. Wird aber aufgrund der Herstellzeit der Optik ca. 2-3 Jahre dauern, bis Ihr diese Bilder zu sehen bekommt :-(

der 12" mit AP 3600 waren $ 150.000 , Preis in 2011 ist bereits ca. $ 220.000. Gekauft haben die den in 2009 aber bis vor kurzem gebraucht die Sternwarte fertig zu stellen.

der 510 mm mit Gitterrohrtubus und riesen deutscher Montierung landet bei ca. 800.000 US $ ( also etwa was ein 10" Takahashi mit Montierung kostet )

Eingesetzt werden diese für Public Viewing, Finanziert durch einen reichen Chinesen

eindrucksvolle Bilder, vor allem das Gerüst ...

Man mag sich kaum vorstellen wie das ganze dann nochmal ein paar hundert % größer ausgeht ...

Aber eindrucksvoll ist es und man kann den Leuten dort nur viel Erfolg wünschen mit Ihrer Sternwarte.

... Lick spent his time determining how to dispense with his fortune. > $60,000 to erect in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, a memorial to Francis Scott Key, author of “The Star-Spangled Banner”

Lick had had an interest in astronomy since at least 1860, when he and George Madeira, the founder of the first observatory in California, spent several nights observing. They had also met again in 1873 and Lick said that Madeira's telescopes were the only ones he had ever used. In 1875, Thomas Fraser recommended a site at the summit of Mount Hamilton, near San Jose. Lick approved, on the condition that Santa Clara County build a "first class" road to the site. The county agreed and the hand built road was completed by the fall of 1876.

Warum gibt's eigentlich hierzulande keine privaten Sponsoren für astronomische Projekte? Geld genug ist ja sicherlich vorhanden ...

Trebur ist eindrucksvoll und macht teilweise tolle Programme, dachte das gehört zu einer der vielen Uni's in der Region Rhein/Main, dass es privat getragen wird finde ich sehr gut und beispielhaft.

"Public Viewing" ist immer noch die "öffentliche Direktübertragung einer Sportveranstaltung auf Großbildwand" - oder das "öffentliche Zurschaustellen eines Verstorbenen", wie man will... :o :biggrin:
Nenn es einfach "public observations", wenn Dir "öffentliche Beobachtungsveranstaltung" schon zu lang, zu kompliziert oder zu deutsch ist. Das macht es glaubhafter und seriöser! - besser lesbar sowieso. :super:
