Von meinem Freund und Kollegen Olivier Thizy (Shelyak Instruments, Frankreich) erhielt ich soeben eine interessante Mitteilung:

A new book has been recently published by "Princeton series in Astrophysics". The new book is written by Richard O. Gray and Christopher J. Corbally. I think it superseeds James B. Kaler book which is becoming old now as well as Jaschek & Jaschek book on stellar classification.
This new book is well written, includes a spectral graph almost on every page (rare to be noted), contains few equations and cover the subject in lot of details... I recommand it for any spectroscopist who can read
english!
By the way, the book has a web page which could be improved but includes a tool (see "Software" menu) to help in stellar classification:
